The Month of Death
November is in Finnish "marraskuu", which means "The Month of Death" or "The Dead Month". The days are short and usually rather dark, but occasionally the sun comes out and looks down to the murky landscapes. With this 'cast I hope to recreate the aural equivalent of the shades of this "month of death"... :: by Jani Hellén (20 November, 2006)

notes
[ed: the late Delia Derbyshire was a member of the BBC's pioneering electronic sound/music production team the Radiophonic Workshop. The most famous of the Workshop's creations using 'radiophonic' techniques is probably the Doctor Who theme music, which Derbyshire created using a plucked string, 12 oscillators and a lot of tape manipulation.

Delia Derbyshire also did the soundtrack for The Legend of Hell House.

Speaking of, it's my Mum's 61st birthday today; happy birfday, Mother.]
