Here's a couple of crude English translations for those who don't understand Finnish:

Punaiset lehdet/Red leaves

Red leaves falling down to the ground from a maple tree,
Summer has gone, my joy is fading away.
Red leaves, whispering softly in the wind,
Has the daylight gone, is it the autumn playing its tune?

Short was the sweet summer time, only the memories remain,
Now it's all just some fairytale magic to me, for my friend has gone away.

Red leaves, each of them like a precious memory,
Covering my path as I walk alone.

Syyspihlajan alla/Under the autumn rowan

Red are the berries of the rowan tree, like blood on them,
The cranes have flown away over my head.
They didn't took me with them to the faraway lands,
Wingless just have to settle for the cold chains of the ground.

The nightwind stays as my sister, singing its songs,
And the rain with its cold tears hits the dark window.
I see many travellers of life rusing by,
I once waited for someone, who never arrives.
