This one's been out for a few minutes, but I just copped the vinyl so I figured I'd spill some digital ink over it. "Wobble Horror!" is truly one of the most unreal tracks released this or any year. It starts out wicked enough, with some chupped up rave synths and a loop of a voice saying "gettin' sick of Rotterdam", but then the drop occurs and you have NO clue what just hit you. One of my fellow DJ friends fell to the floor and was like "is this even music?!?!" when he first heard this. And then another wicked malfunctioning-robot drop, and then another build and some more wicked stuff. I know I'm being super vague with these descriptions but this is just truly on another plane from anything else out there, you just have to hear it. It just sounds like wobble horror, that's all there is to say.
The B-side, "Sugar", is totally different, but also ridiculous, next-level insanity. It starts out almost sounding like it might be a bright, sunshiney garage house track, but then all these doublespeed beats and vocals start building up, and then before you know it you're being assaulted with all these sick sounds that are going by so fast you can't process it all. Truly some next-level dancefloor destruction. There's nothing else out there like this, at all. 9/10 --
