Tara Burke has one of the most amazing voices in all of music. It's a shame more people don't know about her, because she could knock down doors with her pipes. On "Harbinger of Spring," one of the final installments in Jewelled Antler's awesome 12-disc 3" library, she stretches the reach of her singing to its very end. This primitive piece spans almost 18 minutes, and in that time period she climbs mountains and exorcises ghosts. These piece starts off with multiple vocal tracks floating in thick fog. I am reminded of epic battle scenes in huge budget movies. This is the sound of horror and pain. It's breathtaking. Burke doesn't hold back as she lets the floodgates pour open. As the piece moves forward, we are greeted with the thud of tribalesque drumming. Painted skin and pounding fists greet you as you make your way to a giant bonfire. Everyone is dancing and howling. The moon is full and the sky is dotted with a billion stars. Listening to this track is like being taken to another world. It's pure magic. This is your send off on a great journey across the jagged mountains and over the fruited plains. The soft, glassine sound of water greets you on the other side and welcoming you with open arms to heaven. Fursaxa proves, yet again, to be one of the greatest recording projects around. This is stunning. 9/10 --
