Split c20 release here from a couple of solo drone/noise projects from out East. New Haven’s Family Treasures’ side features the track “Traces”, which is a tangled mass of cracklin’ and howlin’ synth gush with some sinister organ moans belting out towards the ending. Dynamo Sound Collective’s Ryan Emmett, from Pittsburgh, is the evil mind behind Hunted Creatures. On “Beholding Sangre de Christo” he sculpts some breezy drones with a death-like whiff to them, with things building then fading up to the brief percussive tribal closing. It’s an interesting listen, but it’s probably not going to gain any converts. 6/10 -- David Perron (2 June, 2010)
