The Third Eye is a combination of pysch and prog at its heaviest forgotten finest. Hailing from South Africa - Durban, South Africa, not even Johannesburg – The Third Eye was a brother/sister duo, with some others, all of whom dropped out before this, the band’s third album. Yet this is something of a minor masterpiece, well, something worth listening to at any rate. There’s a searing version of “All Along the Watchtower,” and a handful of other songs. There is deep goodness on this album, that thick, heavenly fuzz arrived at by the deepest psych. But mostly, this just deserves some recognition as a forgotten reissue – one that was recorded when one of the members was barely out of her pre-teens. 6/10 --
